Forty-eight officers are sitting and standing in front of the colonel's tent with the regimental flags. Recognizable officers are: Lt. Colonel Albert A. Soaday (left of Colonel Born); Colonel Carles A. Born (seated at center); Captain Julius Nemitz (seated fourth from right); Rev. Edward H. Smith (seated third from right); Henry Tyriver (standing 5th from left); and Captain U. G. Carl (standing 10th from right behind Nemitz).
