Thumb-print view of Melvina M. Hadley Sawyer wearing a plaid silk dress with white lace collar. She also wears ear bobs and a pin. Melvina M. Hadley Sawyer was born in Worcestor, New York on May 21, 1824. She married Philetus H. Sawyer in 1841. They had 3 children that survived to adulthood; Edgar P. Sawyer; Emma Maria Sawyer White; and Erna Malvina Sawyer Goodman. In 1847 they removed to Fond du Lac, WI and owned a farm. In 1849 they removed to Algoma. She died May 21, 1888 in Washington, D. C. |
