Bust view Carte de Viste of Edgar (or Charles A. J. Higgins), 7th Wisconsin Battery, wearing artillery mounted service jacket, military vest, white shirt and tie. Edgar Higgins enlisted as a private September 13, 1861 from Horicon, reenlisted as a veteran and mustered out July 20, 1865. Charles A. J. Higgins enlisted from Milwaukee on September 30, 1861 as Bugler, reenlisted as a veteran and mustered out on July 20, 1865. The 7th Battery was raised in Milwaukee, saw service at Island Number 10, Humbolt Tennessee, Parker's Cross Roads, Gun Town Mississippi, Forrest's Raid on Memphis, railroad guard duty and garrison duty at Memhis, Tennessee. |
