Notes Outdoor image of seven of the Field and Line officers of the 21st Wisconsin. They are posed on Lookout Point at the northern tip of Lookout Mountain, site of the "Battle above the Clouds". Most of them are wearing officer's frock coats except John Henry Otto, who wears a tailor-made round-about jacket. Most wear felt hats except two who wear forage caps. They are, standing from left to right: Lieutenant James E. Stuart, Company B; Lieutenant Alfred A. Harding, Company G; Lieutenant John Henry Otto, Company B; Rudolph J. Weisbrod, Company E; and Lieutenant Fred W. Borcherdt, Company D. Seated left to right are Quartermaster Bartholomew J. Van Valkenburg and Lieutenant Albert B. Bradish, Company I. This is probably a copy made in the 1870s. A small inset in the lower right hand corner has a post-war image of Quartermaster Sergeant Samuel H. Fernandez.
