Notes Large format albumen print of the band of the 2nd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. They are wearing commercially made dark blue fatigue blouses; dark uniform trousers; and black felt hats. The 2nd Wisconsin band was issued these uniforms in May of 1862 when they were stationed in Falmouth, VA.

The fourth man from the right with the bass drum is Edwin E. Finney. Finney enlisted in Oshkosh on April 21, 1861 in Company E, 2nd Wisconsin. He was as the company drummer, but was transferred to the regimental band in May. He was mustered out of service, along with the remaining band members on August 24, 1862, and returned to Oshkosh.
