Catlin, 5th Wisconsin Infantry, wearing Field Officers double-breasted frock coat with shoulder bars, black felt slouch hat with bras "5", and long burnsides. Catlin enlisted as Captain Company D, in Beaver Dam April 19, 1861, promoted to Lt. Colonel October 12, 1862 and mustered out at the expiration of his term of service on August 2, 1864. |
