Thumbprint view of 1st Lieutenant Theodore Marcoe, Company B, 5th Wisconsin Infantry (Reorganized), wearing officer's frock coat with shoulder bars. Marcoe enlisted in Company I, 5th Wisconsin Infantry from Fond du Lac on June 1, 1861 and was promoted to corporal, he reenlisted and was transferred to the Independant Battalion on July 13, 1864. He was promoted to 1st Sergeant of the new Company B, 5th Wisconsin Infantry (Reorganized), 2nd Lietuenant November 19, 1864, and 1st Lieutenant on December 13, 1864, mustered out on July 11, 1865. |
