Notes Albumen print on Carte de Visite mount, Three-quarter seated view of Captain George E. Hilton, Company G, 5th Wisconsin Infantry, wearing officer's frock coat and shoulder bars. Hilton enlisted from Berlin on April 18, 1861 as 1st Sergeant, promoted to 1st Lieutenant December 23, 1862, promoted to Captain May 4, 1864, died of wounds received at Battle of Spottsylvania, Virginia on May 18, 1864.
