Full standing view of Captain Andrew J. Fullerton, Company F, 26th Wisconsin Infantry taken in gallery, probably at end of war in Milwaukee, Fullerton is wearing an officer's tailor made fatigue blouse with Captain's bars on shoulders, and a ribbon suspending a 20th Corps Badge on his left breast, an officer's saber belt with M1850 Foot Officer's Sword in left hand, dark felt hat with officer's hat cord, dark leather gloves, and light trousers. Enlisted from Jackson or West Bend August 21, 1862 as 1st Sergeant in Company G, fought at Battle of Chancellosville, fought at Battle of Gettysburg, promoted to 1st Lieutenant of Company F June 8, 1864, participated in Atlanta Campaign, March to the Sea, and Carolina Campaign. Promoted to Captain on October 19, 1864, mustered out June 13, 1865. |
