Hmong story cloth. Central field with embroidered figures on a grey background; narrow blue border; narrow white border; pieced border of grey and blue triangles; narrow white border; narrow blue border; board grey outer border. Lined with white muslin. Images depict a Hmong flood story and include multiple human figures with different colored hair or head coverings, 3 holding shepherd hooks, 2 holding spears(?); two arks; rain clouds and rain; several people in water; flying black birds; and numerous animals, most in pairs. Made by donor to depict the Hmong flood story with a brother and sister who gather animals. Story cloth: "paaj ntaub". Her, Vincent. "Hmong Americans Three Decades in Wisconsin".
