Notes Studio image of a group of nine girls in gymnastic costumes from the Oshkosh North Side Turner Hall. They are posed with various gymnastic equipment including Indian Clubs, weights and tumbling equipment. The Turnverein was a German athletic club popular in the United States. Oshkosh had two Turner organizations, one on the north side and another on the south side. They are identified from left to right as: Ella Koch; Lizzie Voss Meyer; Mamie Rose Dobbins; Lydia Millie Webster; Alma Thobaben; Henry Leemhuis (instructor); Alma Leupold (marked with 'x'); Bertha Staudenraus Filter; Helen Dodge; and Susan Martin.
