Three-quarter seated view of Sarah Evans Bennett and possibly her daughter Sarah C. Bennett Edwards. Both women wear dark dresses with large sleeves. Sarah Evans was the daughter of Evan and Anne Evans from Nant-yr-hafod Wales. She married Richard Bennett and she and her husband first settled in Ohio before coming to Nekimi in 1850. The couple's children were Sarah C.; Richard E.; Anne; Jane; Margaret; Martha V.; and Edward E. Bennett Sarah C. Bennett was the daughter of Sarah Evans and Richard Bennett. She married Isaac R. Edwards. Their sons were Richard Henry Edwards (Buckstaff-Edwards Company) and Charles E. Edwards. |
