Three-quarter seated view of Anne Evans Jones and her daughter Sarah Jane Jones. Both women wear dark dresses with tight sleeves. Anne Evans Jones was the wife of Evan T. Jones and the sister of Sarah Bennett. She and her husband were born in Wales and first settled in Ohio before moving to Dodgeville, WI and then Neenah, WI in March 1849, to Black Wolf in October and finally to Utica in 1864. Evan T. Jones died December 23, 1886. Their children were: Thomas E. Jones; Jeanette A.; David Albert; Hugh C.; Sarah Jane; Watkin V.; Dr. Charles W.; Edward Baxter; and Oscar Lincoln Jones. Sarah Jane Jones married Owen E. Jones. The couple had one child who survived, Edith. They lived in Camroden, NY. |
