Notes Full seated view of a young girl sitting in her mother's lap. The child wears a low neck girls dress. The woman is wearing a dark calico dress with belt, white lace collar, and brooch. This is very possibly Elizabeth Barber Stanley and her daughter Minette J. Stanley. Elizabeth Barber married Henry A. Stanley on February 3, 1856 in Winnebago County. They had at least one daughter who was named Minette J. Stanley, making her the grand-daughter of Webster Stanley, the first permanant white settler in Oshkosh.
