Notes Image of Sherwood pioneer Peter Stuehser with possibly two of his daughters and grandchild, sitting in a parlor.
Peter Stuehser was born in Prussia about 1829. He immigrated to the United States and in 1854 settled on a one-hundred and sixty acre farm in the Town of Harrison, Calumet County, Wisconsin. His farmland became the site of the Village of Sherwood. He and his wife Elizabeth raised four children there.
