Notes Half seated view of Margaret Willock, wife of James Willock, sitting in an upholstered photographer's chair. She is wearing a dark long sleeved jacket with wide cuffs over full skirted dress. Her short hair is parted in the middle and curled around her ears.
Margaret was born in Ireland in 1818. She married James Willock there and their oldest child Sarah was born there in 1843. In 1846 the family immigrated to the US and in 1850 they were living in Lowell, Massachusettes. Their children Andrew and Elizabeth were born there. The family moved west to Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 1856, where James continued his trade as a painter. Margaret died on September 30, 1892.
