Notes Three-quarter view of Content E. Blake Rodgers, wife of George Rogers, she is posed sitting in a chair, her hair is parted in the middle and pulled back tight, she wears a dark colored dress with a small white collar.
Content E. Blake was born February 15, 1831in Green County, PA. . On February 9, 1848 she married George Rogers in Crawford County Ohio. The couple had six children: Clara E.; Olive J.; Orville J.; Hallie L. Alva B.; George B. M.. In 1853 the family moved to Winnebago County, Oshkosh Township where George owned a 400 acre farm north of the present site of Riverside Cemetery along Lake Butte des Morts. In 1864 he moved into the City of Oshkosh.
