Notes Full view image of Mrs. John S. Arnold. Mrs. Arnold is dressed in a dark colored skirt with matching bodice, her sleeve have ruffles at the shoulders and dark colored piping is seen at the cuffs and chest. Her hair is parted down the middle and pulled back tight. She is posed standing next to a chair. She was born circa 1834, probably in Germany. She married John Sextus Arnold at an unknown date. The Arnolds came to Oshkosh prior to 1857 and raised four daughters. She died in Oshkosh May 2, 1888.
