Notes Bust view image of James B. Tolman. He wears a dark frock coat with velvet collars; black silk vest; white shirt; and cravat. He wears a beard without moustache.
James Broad Tolman was born March 26, 1812 in Needham, MA. He was married to Mary A. Felton on January 15, 1835. The couple had at least three children: William W. Tolman; Benjamin Franklin Tolman; and Lucy Tolman Forbes. He came to Oshkosh in 1857. He went into the lumber business with Alden Choate. He later was in partnership with Marshall Harris in the same business. He died October 12, 1896.
