Description Unmounted albumen print cut in an oval, with embossed brass mat with scroll opening; and embossed brass preserver of Edward O'Bierne.

Notes Three-quarter seated view image of Edward O'Bierne, a pioneer settler of Black Wolf Township. He wears a double-breasted coat; vest shirt and bow tie. He wears sideburns and neck beard, clean shaven on the lip and chin.
Edward O'Bierne was born in Ireland about 1827. He immigrated to the United States and purchased a farm in the Town of Black Wolf by 1860. He married Christine Fredericke Kotris Daly, a war widow, in Winnebago County on Apr. 27, 1865. Christina had four children from her previous marriage. The couple had three children together. Edward owned a 69 acre farm on the road to Fond du Lac in the Southeast Quarter of Section 17, Town of Black Wolf and was listed there in 1895. He could not be located in the 1900 US Census.
