Notes Bust view portrait of Charles Clark in later life. He wears a dark suit and tie and has a gray beard without moustache. Copy made circa 1890 of an earlier image.
Charles Clark was born in October 1788 in County Armaugh, Ireland. He married Ann Leary In Dublin. They first immigrated to New Brunswick, Canada about 1824. There they had at least two sons: John and Peter Clark. Charles then settled in Nekimi Township, Winnebago County in 1849 where he farmed for many years. He was later joined by his two sons. He died October 29, 1887 at the age of 99.
