| Notes |
Quarter plate ambrotype of four of James and Margaret Murdock's children. Jefferson, their only son, is standing at left wearing longish hair; a dark coat with belt; and white trousers. The girls are from left to right: Eugenia; Martha; and Mary. The two youngest girls are sitting on a country chair and the oldest girl stands at right. The girls all wear dresses of light color with a small print and wear their hair cut at the shoulders. The Murdocks were an Oshkosh Pioneer family who came before 1853. |
