Description:
Dress of iridescent peacock-blue-colored silk with white pin strip; skirt has three rows of dias-cut large scallops; ruching at bustline; banding at yoke front and back and 2 rows on ends of each long sleeve; sash; insert of white lace at yoke and into a high collar; yoke neckline covered with navy tulle and metallic gold embroidery; lined only in the bodice with a black polished cotton, 9 black stays in lining.

Dress belonged to donor's mother who was Stella H. Jillson Beardmore (1879-1957) Stella married Edwin Beardmore on Aug. 10, 1900 (announcement in Oshkosh Northwestern on that date) Edwin was principal at the Smith School on Oregon Street and Stella a fourth grade teacher at the Fifth Ward School. Donor daughter to Stella Beardmore.
