Description:
Dark tan-colored silk crepe dress heavily beaded in an Indian-style pattern and embroidered with copper metallic thread. Glass seed beads of turquoise, copper, brown, white, gray, white/blue, and light tan.

Donor purchased in the 1920s at the Stein Dress Shop in Oshkosh for $150 ( with an inflation calculator that would make almost $2000 in 2011 currency).

Erna Ryder was very active in the Campfire Girls for many years (newspaper accounts were found from 1934 to 1952 showing this). Her husband, Alexander W. Ryder owned the Lampert-Ryder Shoe Company that ended in 1952. It is known that the couple flew to Hawaii in 1947.
