Description:
Bustle dress of gold and bright blue brocaded silk fabric, fitted bodice of brocade with solid bright blue silk stand-up collar, band of the same fabric sewn into shoulder seams extends to waist, center front closure of brocade with 10 steel-cut buttons. Two bands of brocade fabric sewn to darts just above waist are tied in front, bodice fabric is cut away and then brought forward so its points overlap. The solid bright blue silk underskirt has attached pleated extension that reaches to the floor. the brocade overshirt is draped to the back forming a bustle and train edged in the solid bright blue silk; bodice sleeves are set-in ending just above the wrists with bright blue silk cuffs trimmed with 2 steel-cut buttons. Inside waist ribbon marked: Mrs. M. Nodine/Wabash Avenue/Chicago. Ill.
