Dress with over-the-hips jacket in a "shot" or iridescent blue/green silk. Dress has an inserted cream net stand-up collar edged with sequins and beads that extends down V-shape the bodice front to the blue/green silk pleated cummerbund; bodice top decorated with gold lace trim, sequins and beads; full set-in sleeves are gathered at the shoulders and tapered with lace inserts; back closure of hook and eyes; skirt portion overlaps in front revealing a pleated underskirt. Jacket in the same blue/green silk fabric falls in a princess-line to over the hips, front closure slightly to right giving a slight diagonal look to front, cut-open front, with 5 large navy-blue crocket covered buttons, full-length set-in sleeves have a slight gather at the top and 2 small navy-blue croquet buttons near end of each sleeve; collar is of dark green velvet with the front in a slightly scalloped edge that opens in a V-shape down front and the back collar in a V-shape,; back of jacket fuller with open tails which are weighted, 2 sides edged with velvet and cut in a scalloped-like way with three small navy-blue croquet buttons on each side.

According to the donor dress worn at Grover Cleveland's inaugural by family member, most likely Elizabeth Morgan who married Frank W. Radford (donor had donated other items from this family member). However, dress later than the dates of Cleveland's two inaugural which were in 1885 and 1893)
