The anterior end has a large notch measuring about 2.2cm wide and 1.3cm deep cut into it, the hinge is ground; the ventral edge has been serrated with nine notches which measure 0.2-0.75cm wide and 0.1-0.3cm deep, the ventral margin shows signs of extreme wear/erosion; dorsal margin chipped; posterior end broken. The middle of the shell has a small slit which may have been caused by museum staff who drilled two small perforations for display purposes where the area between broke away.
