Description Shell tempered ceramic.

From the Arthur P. Kannenberg Collection. He recorded the following in his catalog: "Trumpet shaped pottery pipe, shell tempered. Found with a burial in company with much other material on the Walter Karrow farm, Town of Oshkosh, Winnebago County. (See OPM 1998.22.179, 1998.22.233, 1998.22.234, 1998.22.235, 1998.22.238.) It is plain and has no decorations. Received from Walter Karrow."

Original catalog card written by Kannenberg for L300-40 (5083APK): "Pottery trumpet pipe. Locality: Town of Oshkosh, Winnebago County. Received from Walter Karow. Shell tempered pottery. Found with two skeletons and other material on the Walter Karow farm. This is a perfect specimen."
