Description	Red, light speckles, pipestone. T-shaped; cylindrical bowl with 8 circular lead inlays around middle; dark resinous staining in bowl interior and on lip. Shank has round/squared cross section; prow is tapered with two inlaid eyes and notched mouth and 2 nostrils. Original catalog card: "Animal Pipe. Locality: Menominee Indian Reservation. Received from Fred McKay Collection. Date: 1927. Catlinite and lead inlay. This is a marvelous specimen, in workmanship, it has a perfect polish, and also perfect lead inlay. It should represent a large musky or a snake. This pipe was made about 1870-1880."
