Description 
Granite? Stone is similar to 2592-147. Conical bowl atop rectangular stem shank with triangular cross section; thin disc with large perforation extends below stem shank, reconstructed with gray material; faintly visible printing "... BELOIT/WIS" on reconstructed part of disc. Original catalog card: "Stone tomahawk Pipe with perforated base. Locality: Near Beloit, in Rock County, Wis. Received from Carl Wittman Collection, Merrill, Wis. Black and gray granite. It has a 3/8 inch perforation in the right side of the base. It has a 3/8 inch stem hole. The material may be classed as a mottled granite."
