Description 
Red pipestone. Rectangular bowl with square cross section, corners beveled, dark resinous stains in interior and on lip; stem hole near base on one face, other faces have incised designs: triangle with or without cross hatching and rectangle with cross hatching. Also, inscribed"Wis / Marquette", "Willie Englis" and "W. I.". Original catalog card: "Square-bowled Pipe. Locality: Marquette County. Received from S. D. Mitchell Collection. Catlinite. An inch square; and is ornamented with many parallel lines and triangular figures, evidently made with metal tools. This pipe was found by a farmer lard by the name of Willie Inglis."
