Description 
Lead. Slightly conical bowl, basal spur. Rough exterior includes apparent mold seam at back of bowl (smoking view) and part of stem. Original catalog card: "Lead Pipe. Locality: St. Marie Township, Green Lake County. Received from S. D. Mitchell Collection. These lead pipes must have been molded, doubtless made by a white man. Dr. J. F. Snyder is authority for the statement that lead pipes were cast in Illinois by the Canadian French. It is claimed that a pipe casting factory was located near Cahokia, Ill." Artifact also labeled "800-17".
