Description 
Purple steatite. Rectangular bowl. Top and bottom faces of stem at smoke hole are battered, large chips in bowl rim and stem side. Original catalog card includes: "Square-bowled pipe. Locality: Winnebago County, Wis." "The bowl and stem are slightly chipped as though it had been bruised with some blunt instrument." Notations on the back of (a Milwaukee Public Museum?) photographic print include: "The (the stem and bowl)... are gouged out, and no metal tool marks are visible."
