Description Red pipestone. Conical bowl with black resinous accretions in interior and on lip; shank has round cross section with flat base; prow is tapered with flat top and base, oval cross section.

Original catalog card: "Catlinite Siouan Calumet with extended base. Locality: Received from an old squaw near Black River Falls, Jackson County, Wis. Received from Carl Wittman Collection, Merrill, Wis. Date: Feb 22, 2941. Minnesota Catlinite. One inch extension outward from bowl. This pipe is also classed as an Elbow Pipe.

06/13/1995, Menominee consultation, David Grignon noted that the locality is a Winnebago Indian location.
