Description 
Platform pipe or square-bowled Disc pipe (see George A. West, "The Aboriginal Pipes of Wisconsin", The Wisconsin Archeologist, Vol. 4, Nos. 3 and 4, Fig. 137). Dark grey-black hematite. Approximately 3/4 of square bowl (circular hole) present, most of stem is missing; straight base, original length unknown. Square bowl has rounded corners and unintentional(?) notches on one side. Overall abrading striations. When resting on base, the bowl is directed away from smoker.
