Description Possibly chokecherry. Bowl is possibly lathe turned, charred/blackened, apparently from use. Stem is a branch with bark unmodified except for being die threaded and its interior drilled. Stem is threaded into the bowl at a 20-degree angle. Mouthpiece (unattached) was attached to stem with pitch.

Per donor's family story, the pipe belonged to Chief Oshkosh and was given to G.A. Pueppke (donor's grandfather) by the Chief's son, probably between 1900 and 1920.
