Original catalog card: "Animal Effigy Pipe. Locality: Found by S. Chapman at Endeavor, Marquette County, Wis. Received from Carl Wittman, Merrill, Wis. Date: Feb 22, 1941. Hard red sandstone. ... The effigy represents a fish with the bowl sitting right on the head."
