Description Stem only. Broad flat stem made from one piece of wood, diamond cross section. Surface is smoothed and unpainted with natural finish and slight polish. Section with mouthpiece has 2 sets of 4 cut-out circular holes on either end of a set of 2 long cut-out rectangle (12.4 cm long.) The center is wrapped with 3 silk ribbons (dark blue, green and pink) tied in bows and adhered to face of stem (green and pink ribbon wrap missing from underside of stem); ribbons overlay strands of reddish-brown horsehair. Stem varies in width from 4 cm at mouthpiece and 4.7 cm at bowl-end. The mouthpiece extends from square cut stem, as a flat triangle same height as stem. The bowl-end is a broken tapered cylinder extending from center of square cut stem.
