Found on the shores of Lake Winnebago in 1847. Burned diamond leaf and flower design, Menominee? The floral carving, a common design of Woodland Indians, suggsts the the paddle might be of Menominee origin.

A canoe paddle was an everyday object to Native people. They traveled, fished, and hunted from dugout and birch bark canoes.
